River Valley Family Health Centers is proud to partner with the Montrose County School District to bring the Smart Smiles School-Based Dental Program to local schools. This program provides dental screenings and fluoride varnish applications to students during the school day, helping identify potential dental concerns early and protect healthy smiles.

Good oral health plays an important role in a child’s overall health, confidence, and success in the classroom. By offering preventive dental services at school, we make it easier for children to receive the care they need without parents having to miss work or schedule an extra appointment.

Services Include:

– Dental screening performed by a licensed dental professional
– Fluoride varnish application to help prevent cavities
– Referral information if additional dental care is recommended

There is no out-of-pocket cost for families to participate. Certain insurance plans may be billed for covered preventive services.
